Raw Oats

We’ve all heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day.  Unfortunately, it’s also the most rushed. But now you can still get in that extra 15 minutes of sleep you would have used to make breakfast and still get your day off to a healthy start.  Forgot to soak the oats the night before??  No worries!  Add the oats and milk together and let them set while you are getting dressed.  It doesn’t take long, and this is the perfect substitution for sugar filled process cereals.

Prep Time: 2 minutes
Cook Time: 8 hours or 15 minutes if preparing the morning of
Total Time: 8 hours 2 minutes or 17 minutes

Servings: 1

Ingredients:
½ cup almond, soy, coconut or cashew milk
¼ cup quick old fashion oats
Fruit, nuts or chocolate to top

Directions:
1. Combine milk and oats in a dish.
2. Cover and place in the fridge over night.
3. In the morning, choose your favorite toppings such as fruit, nuts, peanut butter or unsweetened cocoa powder.

Coaches Tip: For a breakfast to go, place all ingredients in a mason jar with a tight fitting lift.  You’ve got the perfect portable breakfast!
